I’ve served on the House Veterans Affairs Committee since I was elected to Congress, and was honored to be named as Chairman in the 115th Congress. During his campaign, President Trump made supporting veterans and fixing the VA one of his top priorities, and I have worked closely with the president to implement the strategic vision he set out of a VA that puts veterans first.

I believe VA needs to be completely reformed to ensure we are taking care of our veterans. Too many veterans who answered the call to serve are waiting: waiting for their claims to be processed, waiting to see a doctor and waiting for the country they made a promise to protect to keep the promises made to them. As Chairman, I will continue to champion reforms to fix VA and I will always be an advocate in Congress for our heroes.
